Lupe Tzic and Ezekiel Tzic Killed, Isaiah Tzic Critically Injured in Harris County Car Crash on Grand Parkway

Harris County, Texas (February 18, 2023) – A mother and her infant were killed on Wednesday in a crash that left another child critically injured in Harris County, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened just before 8:30 a.m., on February 15, on the Grand Parkway near 290.

Authorities said the driver of a Toyota Camry said the vehicle in front of her came to almost a complete stop on the exit ramp. The Camry driver veered to avoid the vehicle and hit a Toyota 4Runner, which caused the 4Runner to flip over the guardrail and land on its roof. The Camry also hit a Volkswagen sedan.

The 4Runner driver, Lupe Tzic, and her 9-month-old son, Ezekiel, were killed in the crash. Her other son, 3-year-old Isaiah, was taken to Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

GoFundMe was created to help pay for funeral and medical expenses.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
