Juan Angel Loera, Raquel Angeles and 2 Children Injured in Fatal NE El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash at Titanic and Howard

El Paso, Texas (September 22, 2020) – Three people were killed, and two others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night in northeast El Paso, according to officials.

The fatal crash occurred on September 20, at the intersection of Titanic and Howard.

Police said 28-year-old Juan Angel Loera was driving a Ford Expedition westbound on Titanic Avenue when he stopped at the intersection to turn left.

The Expedition was then struck by an eastbound 2000 Black Lincoln LS that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The force of the impact pushed the Expedition into a rock wall while the Lincoln collided with an electrical service pole before coming to a stop.

Two occupants, possibly three from the Lincoln, fled the scene on foot.

A 1-year-old, a 5-year-old, and a 6-year-old were killed in the crash.

A 2-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Loera and 29-year-old Raquel Angeles, who was in the front passenger seat, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Officers said alcohol, failure to yield the right of way, no seatbelts, and speed were factors in the crash.

The Special Traffic Investigations are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the driver or passengers of the Lincoln is asked to call the non-emergency number at (915) 832-4400 or to call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-TIPS (8477).

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statues which were violated.
