Man Killed in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Almeda Road at Reed Road

Houston, Texas (April 28, 2020) – The man who was critically injured on April 18 in a multi-vehicle crash in Houston has died, according to police.

The crash happened at about 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the intersection of 11100 Almeda Road and 1800 Reed Road.

Police said a white Jeep was making a left-hand turn at the intersection when it failed to yield the right of way and collided with a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which was heading northbound on Almeda Road.

The force of the impact caused the Silverado to veer into the southbound lanes of Almeda Road and hit a Toyota Camry, pushing it into another black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

The driver of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which was heading southbound on Almeda Road, failed to control their speed and rear-ended the Toyota.

The driver of the Camry was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on April 25. His name has not been released.

The Houston police are investigating the crash.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
