Man Hit, Critically Injured by Suspected Drunk Driver at Woodlawn and Bandera in San Antonio

Elderly Man Critically Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident at Woodlawn and Bandera Road

San Antonio, Texas (March 8, 2020) – A man was critically injured early Sunday morning after he was hit by a suspected drunk driver in San Antonio’s North Side, according to the police.

The accident happened around 3:17 a.m. at the intersection of Woodlawn and Bandera Road.

Police said a man in his 30s was driving westbound on Bandera Road when he made a left turn on Woodlawn and hit the elderly man who was in the crosswalk.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DWI.

The crash closed Woodlawn for more than two hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
