Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 East Freeway near Federal Road

Houston, Texas (August 5, 2023) – A man was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler Thursday night in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:05 p.m., August 3, in the 11800 block of I-10 East Freeway near Federal Road.

Police said the man was crossing the westbound mainlanes of the freeway when he was struck by the 18-wheeler.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The 18-wheeler driver stopped on the right shoulder near the McCarty Street exit and called 911. They showed no signs of impairment and was released.

The police are investigating the crash.
