Man Killed in Mansfield Pedestrian Accident on FM 917

Mansfield, Texas (January 13, 2022) – A man was hit and killed by a truck Tuesday evening in Mansfield, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 6:30 p.m., January 11, in the 2800 block of Farm Road 917.

Police said the man was trying to run across the highway when he was struck by a truck.

The truck driver told officers he tried to avoid the man, but he was unable to do so.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The highway was closed for several hours after the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
