5 Children, 1 Adult Injured in Car Crash on U.S. 290 East at Old Kimbro Road in Travis County

5 Children and 1 Adult Hospitalized after Travis County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 290 East at Old Kimbro Road

Travis County, Texas (March 26, 2020) – According to officials, five children and one adult were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in eastern Travis County.

The crash took place around 1:25 p.m., March 25, at the intersection of U.S. 290 East and Old Kimbro Road.

Officials said the vehicle occupied by the children was stopped at a traffic light on U.S. 290 East when it was rear-ended by a truck.

The five children were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin for treatment. Two of the children had critical injuries, and the other three had potentially serious injuries.

One adult was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
