Somerville, Texas (July 30, 2021) – Two employees were seriously injured Thursday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a Somerville restaurant, according to the DPS.

DPS said a vehicle was pulling into the restaurant when the driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to crash into the side of the building.

The vehicle crashed into the side of the building where oil fryers are located.

Two employees inside the restaurant sustained severe burns and were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

No other details regarding this accident were available.

The authorities are conducting the investigation.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
