Man Hospitalized after Hopkins County Train Crash on County Road 4719

Hopkins County, Texas (June 18, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after being involved in a train collision on Tuesday morning in Hopkins County, according to the DPS.

The wreck happened at about 10:30 a.m. at the crossing on County Road 4719 just north of the north I-30 service road.

According to the authorities, a black pickup truck and the train collided on the tracks, and the impact sent the pickup into a grassy area.

The man in the truck was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one on the train was hurt.

The DPS is working to determine the cause of the crash.
