Austin, Texas – One person was killed Wednesday night in a pedestrian accident in Austin, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened just before 9:00 p.m., April 10, in the 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard.

Authorities said a person was struck by a vehicle and was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries. The victim later died and has not been identified.

The involved driver remained at the scene, wasn’t impaired or under the influence, and cooperated with the investigators.

An investigation is underway. Anyone who might have more information regarding the fatal crash is asked to call APD’s Vehicular Homicide unit at 512-974-8111. Tipsters can also submit information anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program online or by phone at 512-472-8477.
