3 Injured in DWI Crash on Amires Place in San Antonio; Gerardo Lozano Arrested

Three Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Amires Place near NW 38th Street; Gerardo Lozano Arrested

San Antonio, Texas (December 25, 2021) – Three people were injured on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The crash happened on December 24, on Amires Place near NW 38th Street.

Police said a man was driving a white Escalade when he disregarded a stop sign and struck a black Sierra pickup truck, occupied by a family of three, which was traveling eastbound on Amires Place.

The family, a one-year-old, her 23-year-old mother, and her 26-year-old father were taken to University Hospital.

The one-year-old and the mother had to be intubated. The mother is pregnant.

The Escalade driver, Gerardo Lozano, 33, was arrested and booked on three counts of intoxication assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
