One Killed, Two Injured in Dallas Crash at Lake June Road and North Prairie Creek Road

Dallas, Texas (October 17, 2023) – One person was killed and two other people were injured in a Monday night crash in a Dallas intersection, according to Dallas police.

The deadly crash occurred at around 9:25 p.m. Monday, October 16, at the intersection of Lake June Road and North Prairie Creek Road.

Dallas police said a vehicle was traveling southbound on North Prairie Creek Road at a high rate of speed when the driver allegedly ran a stop sign at Lake June Road and struck two pickup trucks.

After the crash, one of the trucks caught fire, trapping the driver inside.

Firefighters who responded to the scene extinguished the fire, but the truck driver did not survive and was declared dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The suspect driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and the driver of the second pickup truck had minor injuries.

Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
