Man Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 87 in Deweyville

51-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Deweyville Crash on State Highway 87 and County Road 3075

Deweyville, Texas (June 29, 2022) – A 51-year-old man was injured Tuesday morning in a collision involving an 18-wheeler in Deweyville, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers.

The wreck occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, on State Highway 87 at the intersection of County Road 3075.

Troopers said a 2011 Kia passenger car was speeding northbound and was attempting to make a left turn when it rear-ended a 2020 Peterbilt truck tractor that was also heading northbound.

The driver of the Kia was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition. The Peterbilt driver was uninjured.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
