Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Lake Mt. Pleasant Road in Montgomery County

64-Year-Old Man Killed in Montgomery County Crash on Lake Mt. Pleasant Road near FM 1097

Montgomery County, Texas (March 21, 2023)- A 64-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Montgomery County, according to authorities.

The deadly crash happened at about 2:45 p.m. Monday, March 20, on Lake Mt. Pleasant Road, just north of FM 1097.

Authorities said the man was driving a Honda Accord northbound on Lake Mt. Pleasant Road. As he entered a curve on the roadway, his vehicle began to skid across the southbound lanes.

A Toyota Tundra heading southbound on Lake Mt. Pleasant Road crashed into the passenger side of the Accord. The impact pushed sending the Accord through the fence of a horse ranch.

The driver of the Honda died at the scene. The driver of the Tundra was not injured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
