Jeremiah Todd Penland Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 1604 near Pue Road

San Antonio, Texas (June 27, 2020) – The man who was killed Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in San Antonio has been identified as Jeremiah Todd Penland, 31, according to Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. June 24, on Loop 1604, near Pue Road.

Deputies said a pickup truck was traveling northbound when the driver swerved into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into a Honda Civic.

The impact caused the truck to roll over while the Civic went off the roadway.

The Civic driver, Penland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup driver was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash closed both directions of Loop 1604 at Pue Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
