One Injured in Orange Hit-and-Run Boating Accident on Sabine River at Old Cow Bayou
Orange, Texas (April 4, 2020) – A man was injured Thursday morning in a hit-and-run boating accident just south of Orange, according to officials.
The crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. April 2, where Old Cow Bayou and the Sabine River meet.
Authorities said two small aluminum boats were traveling in the opposite directions when they collided.
A man was taken to Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with a large laceration to his hip and possible fractures of the hip and pelvic area.
The other boater fled the scene without rendering aid. The boat was described as a 14 foot to 16-foot long camouflage aluminum boat.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
