Man Killed in San Antonio Crane Crash on Loop 1604 

San Antonio, Texas – A man was killed early Wednesday morning in a crash involving a crane at a construction zone in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:45 a.m., on Loop 1604.

Police said the man was driving a pickup truck when he drove around an off-duty officer who was blocking traffic for the construction. He went straight into the construction area where he crashed into a crane.

The roof of the pickup truck was torn during the crash. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other details were provided

The crash remains under investigation.
