Man Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 1516 in Converse

1 Killed and 2 Injured in Converse Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1516 near Binz-Engleman Road

Converse, Texas (May 27, 2020) – A man was killed, and two other people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision in Converse, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened on May 26, on FM 1516 near Binz-Engleman Road.

According to police, witnesses said the man was driving erratically in the northbound lanes of the highway when he entered the southbound lanes to pass slower traffic and crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Two passengers in the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
