Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on FM 4 near Godley

Man Killed in Godley Pedestrian Accident on FM 4 near Massey Road

Godley, Texas (July 16, 2020) – A man was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash near Godley between Cleburne and Granbury, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident took place at around 9:40 p.m. on July 14, on FM 4 near Massey Road.

Police said the man was outside of his truck when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

The man was declared dead at the scene. He has been identified as a 30-year-old Fort Worth man.

The involved driver fled the scene.

The victim’s truck was located about 15 feet from the body. It was running, and the driver’s door was open.

An investigation into the crash is underway. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call TxDPS at 817-579-3337 and ask for Trooper French.
