Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Clay Road in Houston

Man Killed in NW Houston Pedestrian Accident on Clay Road

Houston, Texas (May 16, 2022) – A man was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in northwest Houston, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 2:08 a.m., May 15, in the 18300 block of Clay Road.

Deputies said the man failed to yield right of way to a vehicle that was heading westbound in the right lane and was hit by the vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The man was found unresponsive in a ditch with a head injury. He was airlifted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
