Woman Hit, Killed by Car on Southwest Freeway in Sharpstown

45-Year-Old Woman Killed in Sharpstown Pedestrian Accident on Southwest Freeway

Sharpstown, Texas (May 17, 2023) – A 45-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday night in the Sharpstown area, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:20 p.m., May 15, in the 7000 block of the Southwest Freeway.

Police said the woman was walking on the sidewalk when she was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was trying to make a right turn out of a private driveway.

The 44-year-old driver continued to exit onto the feeder road without stopping and then returned to the scene immediately.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The driver was not impaired.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
