Sergeant Stephen Gibson Killed in Glen Rose Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 144

Glen Rose, Texas – A Somervell County Sheriff was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash about four miles south of Glen Rose, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash happened around 6:45 a.m., December 13, on State Highway 144.

DPS said a white Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it lost control and struck Sgt. Stephen Gibson investigator truck.

Sgt. Gibson was killed in the crash. He served as a Peace Officer for more than 25 years.

No further information was immediately available.

The Texas DPS is investigating the crash.
