Man Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Poplar Street near Dokes Drive

San Antonio, Texas (May 16, 2022) – A man in his mid-30s was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just after 4:00 a.m., May 15, in the 3300 block of Poplar Street near Dokes Drive.

Police said the man was walking northbound when he was struck by possibly a black Chevrolet Suburban.

The man was taken to University Hospital with serious bodily injury to his lower extremities.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

No other details were available.

The police are investigating the crash.
