Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Collingsworth Street in Houston

44-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Collingsworth Street

Houston, Texas (October 12, 2023) – A 44-year-old man died after he was involved in a pedestrian accident last month in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:45 a.m., September 11, in the 3100 block of Collingsworth Street.

Police said the man was walking northbound on the wrong side of the street when he attempted to cross the intersection, outside of a crosswalk, and was struck by an eastbound gray Chevrolet Equinox.

The man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead on October 7. His name has not been released.

The Chevrolet driver remained at the scene and was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.

The police are investigating the crash.
