Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Commerce Street in Dallas

One Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Commerce Street

Dallas, Texas (January 2, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed on New Year’s Eve in a hit-and-run crash in Dallas, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on December 31, in the 2600 block of Commerce Street.

Police said a person was standing in the left-center of the road watching fireworks when he was struck by a gray 2017 Ford F150, which was traveling the wrong way with no headlights.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The vehicle, which has Texas license plate MWL-6627, fled the scene after the crash.
