Rider Injured, Horse Killed in Port Arthur Crash on Port Arthur Road
Port Arthur, Texas (March 9, 2019) – A man was injured, and a horse was killed after a vehicle hit them Wednesday night in Port Arthur, authorities said.
The accident took place on Wednesday, March 6, at 6900 West Port Arthur Road.
Police said the man was riding a horse along the side of the road when a pickup truck hit the horse. The impact ejected the man from the horse. He didn’t have reflective gear on.
The horse was killed in the accident. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police are investigating the crash.
