Man, Woman Hit by Suspected Drunk Driver on Aldine Bender Road in Houston

Man and Woman Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Aldine Bender Road

Houston, Texas (November 4, 2019) – A man and a woman were hit by a suspected drunk driver Saturday night in north Houston, according to the police.

The accident happened late Saturday night, November 2, in the 100 block of Aldine Bender Road.

Police said a man and a woman were attempting to cross the street when they were hit by a white Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Carlos Aguilar.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. The man was listed in stable condition while the woman was listed in critical condition.

Aguilar left the scene after the accident. Family members convinced him to return.

Witnesses said Aguilar had been drinking before the accident. He had children in the car at the time of the crash.

Aguilar is facing four charges including failure to stop and render aid in an accident involving death, failure to stop and render aid in an accident that caused severe bodily injury, DWI with a child under 15, and endangering a child.

Investigators said intoxication was a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
