Manuela Gonzalez Killed in Ganado Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 59

Ganado, Texas (December 1, 2020) – A woman was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash near Ganado, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:56 p.m., November 29, on U.S. 59.

DPS said a tractor-trailer was carrying produce when it broke down along the highway, and another tractor-trailer driven by Victor Ortiz Rodriguez, of Mexico, arrived to transport the produce in the trailer

Manuela Gonzalez, of Sullivan City, was driving a 2015 Buick LaCrosse northbound when she rear-ended the second trailer.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Rodriguez was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
