Marquan L. Smith and Shedarion L. Davis ID’d as 2 Victims Injured in Wise County Crash on U.S. 380 near County Road 1111

Wise County, Texas (August 15, 2019) – Authorities have identified the two people who were injured Saturday night in a two-car accident in Wise County as Marquan L. Smith, 27, and Shedarion L. Davis, 27. Both from Shubuta, Miss.

The crash took place just before 11:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10 on U.S. 380 near County Road 1111, a few miles west of Decatur.

According to the authorities, a 2003 Honda driven by Smith, and a 2005 Honda driven by Davis, were both traveling westbound on U.S. 380 when for an unknown reason, the 2003 Honda hit the right rear quarter panel of the 2005 Honda.

As a result of the collision, the 2005 Honda drifted off the roadway and went into the center median, where it flipped over.

The 2003 Honda rolled off the roadway onto the grassy shoulder and hit a fence. Smith was ejected from the vehicle.

Smith sustained minor injuries and was taken to Medical City Hospital in Denton. Davis was also transported to Wise Health System in Decatur with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
