Mary Grayson Killed in Car Crash on North Capital of Texas Highway in Austin

Mary Grayson Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on North Capital of Texas Highway near Pennybacker Bridge

Austin, Texas (August 6, 2021) – The woman who was killed on July 30 in a two-vehicle crash in Austin has been identified as Mary Rebecca Grayson, 23, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 1:02 a.m., near the 4700 block of North Capital of Texas Highway, near Pennybacker Bridge.

Police said a Subaru rear-ended a Saturn for unknown reasons on the highway.

Four people in one of the vehicles were taken to St. David’s South Austin Hospital, where one of them, Grayson, later died.

The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital in critical condition.
