Mateo Almaraz Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Highway 151 and Wiseman

San Antonio, Texas (June 12, 2021) – The man who was fatally hit by a vehicle last week Friday in San Antonio has been identified as Mateo Cordero Almaraz,78, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 p.m., June 4 on Highway 151 and Wiseman.

Police said Almaraz was trying to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 151 when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle then lost control and crashed into the median.

Almaraz was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
