Melinda Ramirez Killed in Pasadena Bicycle Accident on Preston Avenue; Jezel Galindo-Cardenas Arrested

Pasadena, Texas (September 29, 2021) – A woman has been arrested in connection to the July 30th hit-and-run crash that left another woman dead in Pasadena, according to the police.

Jezel Galindo-Cardenas, 33, has been arrested and charged.

The deadly accident happened on July 30, near the 800 block of Preston Avenue.

Police said Melinda Ramirez was riding her bike when she was struck by a white, four-door SUV driven by Galindo-Cardenas.

Ramirez was killed in the accident.

Galindo-Cardenas fled the scene after the accident. Tips and leads through social media eventually led to her arrest. She has been charged with failure to stop and render aid as well as possession of a controlled substance. Her bond has been set at $50,000.

An investigation is underway.
