Melody Powell Killed in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 183

Fort Worth, Texas (May 26, 2021) – The 38-year-old woman who was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Fort Worth has been identified as Melody Michelle Powell, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly accident happened around 3:00 a.m., May 22, in the 13700 block of State Highway 183.

Police said Powell was struck by a vehicle on the highway.

The vehicle, which was described as possibly a black “crossover” vehicle, fled the scene after the crash.

Powell was killed in the crash.

No other details were provided.
