Man Killed in 18-Wheeler Crash on North Weidner Road in San Antonio

Man Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on North Weidner Road at I-35

San Antonio, Texas (September 10, 2022) – A man was killed Friday morning in a crash involving an 18-wheeler in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:20 a.m., September 9, on North Weidner Road near Crosswinds Way, not far from Wurzbach Parkway and Interstate 35.

Police said the man was driving a sedan westbound on the I-35 access road while an 18-wheeler was traveling northbound on Weidner.

As the 18-wheeler was going through the intersection with a green light, it was struck by the sedan.

The sedan driver was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
