One Critically Injured in Southeast Austin Pedestrian Accident on East Riverside Drive at South Pleasant Valley Road

Austin, Texas (May 9, 2020) – A pedestrian was critically injured Friday night after being struck by a vehicle in Southeast Austin, according to officials.

The accident occurred around 9:35 p.m. May 8, at the intersection of East Riverside Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road.

Officials said the pedestrian was struck by an SUV at the intersection.

The SUV driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

The victim was knocked unconscious and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
