Rickey Ward Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on De Zavala Road

San Antonio, Texas (April 10, 2022) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just after 2:00 p.m., April 9, on De Zavala Road.

Police said 64-year-old Rickey Ward was walking southbound in a crosswalk when he was struck by a pickup truck that was turning left.

Ward was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details were available.

The police are investigating the crash.
