Michael Carter ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Caldwell Crash on State Highway 21 near County Road 103

Caldwell, Texas (December 23, 2022) – The pedestrian who died after he was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Caldwell has been identified as Michael Carter, 23, of Abilene.

The deadly crash happened at around 7:55 p.m. Tuesday , December 20, on State Highway 21 near County Road 103.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Carter was hit by a 2012 Infiniti passenger car that was heading eastbound.

Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Infiniti did not suffer any injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
