Moderate Injuries Sustained in Lubbock County Police Chase Accident at Marsha Sharp Freeway and Interstate 27
Lubbock County, Texas (January 4, 2019) – Moderate injuries were reported Thursday afternoon after a police chase ended in a traffic crash in East Lubbock County, authorities said.
The wreck occurred at an unspecified time Thursday, January 3 near the intersection of Marsha Sharp Freeway and Interstate 27.
According to the police, the Texas Department of Public Safety officers were in chase of a car operated by a wanted suspect on U.S. 62/82 when the suspect slammed into other vehicles near the intersection.
Police reported that one person briefly fled on foot from the vehicle before being arrested.
Moderate injuries were reported in the collision.
