1 Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Crash on SL 338 in Odessa

One Killed and One Injured in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on State Loop 338

Odessa, Texas (November 11, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision early Saturday morning in Ector County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:45 a.m., November 7, on State Loop 338.

Officials said a Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on SL 338, while a Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound.

For unknown reasons, the Dodge crossed the center stripes into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into the Toyota.

The Dodge driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver was taken to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
