Michael Frank Warton Killed in Montague County Motorcycle Accident on FM 2953

Montague County, Texas (December 6, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Wednesday night in Montague County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on December 4, on FM 2953.

DPS said Michael Frank Warton, 63, of Nocona, was riding a motorcycle when a car in front of him decided to make a U-turn, and Warton crashed into the rear of the car.

Warton was taken to a hospital in Denton, where he later died. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
