Traci Lynn Klein Killed in Midland Two-Vehicle Crash at Mockingbird Lane and North Big Spring Street; Nicholas Yager Arrested

Midland, Texas (March 10, 2023) – One person was killed Wednesday night in a DWI crash in Midland, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:50 p.m., March 8, at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and North Big Spring Street.

Police said 34-year-old Traci Lynn Klein was driving a Toyota Highlander eastbound on Mockingbird and was crossing Big Spring to continue eastbound.

A Ford F-350 driven by 21-year-old Nicholas Yager was attempting to make a left turn southbound onto Big Spring from Mockingbird when he failed to yield the right of way and crashed into Klein.

Klein was taken to MMH, where she later died.

Yager was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The crash remains under investigation.
