Kennedy County, Texas (February 17, 2021) – Two people were killed, and five others were injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Kennedy County, according to the DPS.

Miguel Angel Faquit Yat, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.

5-year-old Josue Osorio was taken to the Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, where he later died.

One male, two female passengers, and one male pedestrian from the Civic were taken to Valley Baptist in critical condition. The Traverse driver was also taken to Valley Baptist Hospital in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice.
