Kelsey Harris Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 1173 in Denton

Kelsey Harris ID’d as Woman Killed in Denton Crash on FM 1173

Denton, Texas (January 10, 2023) – The woman who died following a head-on crash on Sunday afternoon outside Denton has been identified as 42-year-old Kelsey Harris of Krum.

The deadly crash happened at around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, on FM 1173, between Denton and Krum.

Authorities said a pickup was traveling westbound on FM 1173 when its driver braked and swerved into the eastbound lane to avoid striking stopped traffic.

The pickup collided head-on with an eastbound SUV driven by Harris.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver was transported to a Denton hospital with critical injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
