Minor Injuries Reported in Wichita Falls Hit-and-Run Crash on U.S. 287

Wichita Falls, Texas (September 14, 2022) – According to a local news source, minor injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon following a hit-and-run crash in Wichita Falls.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m., September 13, on U.S. 287.

According to the report, two vehicles were traveling southbound on the highway when one of them started to switch lanes and collided with the other car.

The car then spun out, hit the concrete barrier, and clipped a third vehicle. 

The car that tried to switch lanes fled the scene after the crash.

Only minor injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash closed U.S. 287, backing up traffic near Lucy Park.

The crash remains under investigation.
