Police Officer on Bicycle Hurt in Arlington Crash on North Collins Street

Arlington, Texas (May 14, 2019) – An Arlington Police Department Officer riding a bicycle was injured in a hit-and-run accident that took place early Sunday morning in Arlington.
According to a police report, the crash was reported at about 12:45 a.m. May 12, in the 800 block of North Collins Street.
The report showed that an Arlington police officer was riding a marked patrol bicycle across Collins Street when a northbound dark-colored vehicle struck them and fled the scene.
The rider was treated at Medical City Arlington and later released.
The driver who hit the officer is still at large and the police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
