Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on FM 1942 in Harris County

One Killed in East Harris County Motorcycle Accident on FM 1942 at Sralla

Harris County, Texas (August 22, 2023) – One person was killed early Monday morning in a motorcycle accident in east Harris County, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 5:15 a.m., August 21, in the 1599 block of FM 1942 at Sralla.

Deputies said a Chevrolet Traverse was traveling northbound on Sralla while a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on FM 1942. Another vehicle, driving in front of the motorcycle, turned right onto Sralla, and the motorcycle went around that vehicle while the Traverse continued across the intersection.

The motorcycle and the Traverse collided at the intersection.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The Traverse driver was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
