Motorcyclist Killed in Lewisville Crash on Interstate 35E near Business 121

Lewisville, Texas (June 6, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a traffic collision in Lewisville, according to the Lewisville Police Department.

The deadly accident happened at around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, June 5, on Interstate 35E near Business 121.

Police said a vehicle was heading northbound on the interstate when its driver changed lanes and hit a motorcycle. Due to the impact, the rider was thrown off the bike and then hit by a second vehicle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the rider has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Both drivers stopped to render aid to the victim.

Police shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 35E during the investigation.

The accident remains under investigation.
