Nathaniel McGowan Critically Injured in Tyler Motorcycle Crash on South Jackson Street

Tyler, Texas (April 22, 2022) – One person was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Tyler, according to the police.

The accident happened around 1:27 p.m., April 21, in the 1500 block of South Jackson Street.

Police said Frances Darlene Pickett, 63, of Riesel, was driving a Jeep Liberty northbound and was turning into a private parking lot. Nathaniel Taylor McGowan, 25, of Rusk, was riding a motorcycle southbound, and he rear-ended the Jeep.

McGowan was taken to the U.T. Health emergency room in Jacksonville. He was then airlifted to the UT Tyler trauma center with critical injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
