Norkendric Jackson Charged in Fatal DeSoto Car Crash at West Pleasant Run Road and Ray Andra Drive

DeSoto, Texas (June 20, 2021) – According to the police, a 17-year-old has been charged in connection to the two-vehicle crash that left a Dallas ISD mentor dead earlier this month in DeSoto.

Norkendric Jackson, 17, was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter, a second-degree felony.

The fatal crash happened on June 6, at the intersection of Pleasant Run Road and Ray Andra Drive.

Police said Hanan Ali-Lacy, 42, was stopped at the intersection when her car was t-boned by Norkendric Jackson, 17, who was driving more than 90 mph in a 40 mph zone.

Ali-Lacy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson was arrested Tuesday morning and was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before being booked at the Dallas County Jail.

The police are investigating the crash.
