Officer Hospitalized after Sherman Crash on U.S. Highway 75 near North Travis Street

Sherman, Texas (August 28, 2019) – An officer with the Sherman Police Department was hospitalized Monday night after a traffic accident in Sherman, authorities said.

The crash took place at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, August 26 on U.S. Highway 75 near the intersection of North Travis Street.

According to the authorities, the officer was heading northbound on Highway 75 with lights activated when his vehicle collided with another car at the intersection.

The officer was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
